Our Commitment

Blessink is built around a single idea: a quiet daily reading, without a feed, an account, or surveillance. This policy describes the small amount of data the app touches and how we treat it.

02

Information We Collect

Blessink does not require an account, and we do not operate a server that stores your reading activity. The following data is touched only on your device:

  • Bookmarks: The IDs of verses you save are written to your phone’s local storage. They never leave the device.
  • Reminder preference: Your chosen daily reminder time (morning, noon, evening or off) is stored locally for the OS scheduler.
  • Onboarding state: A flag noting that you’ve completed first-run setup, stored locally.
  • Purchase status: If you purchase “Remove Ads,” that entitlement is stored against an anonymous, randomly generated identifier by RevenueCat (see Third-Party Services).
03

How We Use Your Information

  • Show today’s verse: Today’s passage is chosen by date. No personalisation, no tracking.
  • Send reminders: The OS schedules your chosen daily notification locally; the message is generated on-device.
  • Honour your purchase: If you remove ads, your entitlement is checked at app launch via RevenueCat’s SDK.
  • Show ads (free tier only): Occasional, full-screen interstitials served by Google AdMob. You can remove them via a one-time purchase.
04

Data Security

Because Blessink runs without a backend of our own, your reading activity is protected by the security of your device:

  • Bookmarks and preferences are written to your platform’s sandboxed app storage
  • Network traffic to our third-party providers is encrypted in transit (TLS)
  • We do not maintain a user database, so there is no user database to breach
  • Removing the app deletes all locally stored data
05

Your Rights

  • Withdraw tracking consent: On iOS, the App Tracking Transparency prompt controls whether AdMob can serve personalised ads. You can change your answer anytime in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
  • Disable notifications: Set the daily reminder to “Not now” in the side menu, or revoke the OS permission entirely.
  • Delete your data: Uninstall the app — there is nothing on a server of ours to delete.
  • Restore purchases: If you reinstall on the same Apple ID or Google account, your “Remove Ads” entitlement restores automatically.
06

Third-Party Services

Blessink integrates a small number of third-party SDKs:

  • Google AdMob — serves interstitial ads to free-tier users. AdMob may collect device identifiers (for non-personalised ads if you decline ATT, or personalised ads if you accept). See Google’s Privacy Policy.
  • RevenueCat — handles in-app purchases and entitlement checks. RevenueCat receives an anonymous randomly-generated user ID and Apple/Google receipt data. See RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy.
  • Apple App Store / Google Play — process your purchase and crash data per the platform’s own privacy policy.

We do not run our own analytics or our own server. We do not sell data; we have no data to sell.
