Privacy Policy

Our Commitment
FinLit is a static, offline-first finance literacy app. There is no account, no login and no server that stores your activity. This policy describes the limited data the app touches and how we treat it.
Information We Collect
FinLit does not collect personal information. All content ships inside the app bundle and runs fully on your device. The only data touched is:
- Reading progress: Which lessons you have completed is stored in your device’s local storage. It never leaves your device.
- Purchase status: If you purchase “Remove Ads,” that entitlement is stored against an anonymous, randomly generated identifier by RevenueCat (see Third-Party Services).
- Ad identifiers (free tier only): Google AdMob may collect device advertising identifiers to serve ads to free-tier users. See section 06 for details.
How We Use Your Information
- Track your progress: Your completed lessons are stored locally so the app remembers where you left off.
- Honour your purchase: If you removed ads, your entitlement is verified at launch via RevenueCat’s SDK.
- Show ads (free tier only): Ads served by Google AdMob. You can remove them with a one-time in-app purchase.
Data Security
Because FinLit has no backend of its own, your data is protected entirely by your device:
- Progress and preferences are written to your platform’s sandboxed app storage
- All network traffic to third-party providers is encrypted in transit (TLS)
- We do not maintain a user database — there is nothing on our servers to breach
- Uninstalling the app deletes all locally stored data
Your Rights
- Withdraw ad tracking consent: On iOS, the App Tracking Transparency prompt controls whether AdMob can serve personalised ads. You can change this anytime in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
- Delete your data: Uninstall the app. There is nothing on a server of ours to delete.
- Restore purchase: Your “Remove Ads” entitlement restores automatically on the same Apple ID or Google account.
Third-Party Services
FinLit integrates two third-party SDKs:
- Google AdMob — serves ads to free-tier users. AdMob may collect device identifiers for ad targeting (personalised if you accept ATT; non-personalised if you decline). See Google’s Privacy Policy.
- RevenueCat — handles in-app purchase entitlements. RevenueCat receives an anonymous randomly-generated user ID and Apple/Google receipt data. See RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy.
We do not run analytics, we do not sell data, and we have no user database to share.
